Google has expanded its Gemini AI assistant to Czech users, enabling voice commands and responses in their native language. The Gemini Live functionality, now available on Android and soon on iOS, integrates with apps like Gmail, YouTube, Maps, and Calendar, facilitating tasks such as scheduling events, sending messages, and managing to-dos.

In a parallel development, Google invested $1 billion in Anthropic, a competitor in AI language models and developer of Claude chatbot, bringing its total investment in the company to $3 billion. This move follows significant funding rounds across the AI sector, including OpenAI’s $6.6 billion and the ambitious $500 billion Stargate project. Google’s strategy highlights its dual focus: enhancing its AI ecosystem while supporting competition to drive innovation.
