A former pilot in the Israeli Air Force, he subsequently served as CEO of leading steel companies, spearheading extensive international business initiatives.
At present, he is involved in high-tech start-ups, actively promoting entrepreneurship among small and medium-sized enterprises. Adres serves on numerous boards of directors and is a member of the Israel Press Council.

Christian is a partner in The Footprint Firm. He is an experienced strategy consultant, who joined The Footprint Firm in 2020 after a career in management consulting at QVARTZ/Bain & Company, working primarily with strategy and business transformation projects. Christian has solid experience from working with renewables industry and institutional investors, including private equity and infrastructure funds and family offices both on fund and portfolio level.
Christian’s industry experience also covers engagements in telecommunications, medical technology and for public institutions among others. Besides this Christian has experience within economic consulting, especially socio-economic impact analyses within infrastructure, environment and tourism for public institutions and utilities. Moreover, Christian worked for top-tier boutique strategy consulting firm, Port Jackson Partners, in Sydney, Australia.

Perez Lavie

Professor Perez Lavie

Lavie served as the president of Technion from 2009 to 2019, during which he transformed the university into a global leader in science and technology. He played a key role in establishing the Joan & Irwin Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute in New York and the Guangdong-Technion Israel Institute of Technology in. His leadership also saw the creation of multidisciplinary centers like the Technion Integrated Cancer.

Vladimír Mařík

Professor Vladimír Mařík

Professor Vladimír Mařík is a pioneer in artificial intelligence and its industrial applications. As the founding director of the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics, and Cybernetics at CTU in Prague in 2012, he has played a key role in establishing this cutting-edge institution as a hub for innovation and collaboration between academia and industry. Since 2018, he has served as CIIRC’s Scientific Director, driving advancements in automation, decision-support systems, and AI solutions tailored to industrial challenges.

With a career spanning partnership with global leaders like Airbus Industries and Rockwell Automation, Professor Mařík has been instrumental in developing industrial AI systems for production planning, diagnostics, and expert systems. In 1996 professor Mařík became one of the founders of CertiCon a.s., of which he has been the Chairman of the Board and the Executive Director since 2010.

He is the author of over 170 scientific publications, co-editor of 15 books, and holder of 5 U.S. patents. His contributions have earned him numerous prestigious awards, including the Austrian Decoration of Honour for Science and Art and the Česká Hlava Innovation Prize.

Professor Duncan McFarlane

Prof McFarlane is the lead on the Digital Manufacturing on a Shoestring programme which is investigating how low-cost, readily available digital technologies can be implemented to support growth and productivity in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The project addressed the common concern that many digital manufacturing solutions are designed for large companies and is now being applied in different regions in the UK and internationally.

His main research interests lie in data warehousing, business intelligence, big data and text mining, semantic web, cyber-security, linked open data and environmental informatics, ICT and sustainability. Since 2008, he has been the Austrian delegate for the United Nations Commission on Science and Technology for Development (CSTD) and served as an UN-CSTD chairperson (2018-2019) and as vice-chairperson (2015-2021).

Zdeněk Zajíček is the President of the Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic, to which he was elected in May 2023. A graduate lawyer, he has had a rich career in the Czech public administration, where he focused on innovations in the field of digitalization and improving the business environment, including projects such as CzechPOINT, Data Boxes and Banking Identity. At the Chamber of Commerce, he continues to work on projects supporting entrepreneurs in the Czech Republic. He has launched an anti-bureaucratic reform and is actively involved in the Czech at the Crossroads initiative to make it easier for entrepreneurs to operate and to support the Czech Republic’s international competitiveness.
